Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: Tuesday 24th April - Check in – Gallipoli Peninsula.

6.30am Check in at the Indigo office, we then depart for Gallipoli, stopping along the way so you can have some lunch before our arrival at the cove. On the tour to ANZAC Cove you learn of the fate of over 10,000 Australians and New Zealanders. We visit the memorial sites at ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair as a priority as well as Shrapnel Valley, Conkbay Hill, The Nek and the 57th and their cemeteries if time permits. We then tour the Kabatepe Museum and orientation centre (although this may occur at the start of the tour). You then have the opportunity to relax at Anzac Cove early afternoon so you can secure your spot where you will sleep under the stars awaiting the Dawn Service. There are facilities on site including food and drink vendors and many portable toilets. Some entertainment is also provided on big screens in the form of interviews and documentaries. The evening will be very cold so ensure you have your sleeping bags and warm clothing with you. You will only be permitted to take a day bag inside the secure perimeter and your large bags will remain securely stored on the coach.

DAY 2: Wednesday 25th April - Memorial Service - Return to Istanbul

4.30am and this special day starts very early for the dawn service. After the Dawn Service you are free to attend the Australian Memorial Service at Lone Pine and the New Zealand Memorial Service at Chunuk Bair. We then drive back to Istanbul late evening where the tour will finish. Perhaps have a few drinks with your new found friends and reminisce on the ANZAC services. No accommodation is provided this evening.
